Hi, Craig.
Thousands of people have read your question this morning but haven't
answered it because they don't want to try to read your mind. Since I can
read your mind, I'll say that yes, MDAC 2.8 is compatible with Word 2000
from Office 2000 Professional (W2000 and W2K are common abbreviations for
Word 2000), but it's probably unnecessary unless your Word document needs to
connect to a Jet 4.0 database.
Just kidding. ;-) I really _can_ read your mind and you need to pay that
overdue bill today, apologize to your significant other for what happened
last weekend, and either write out the entire name or abbreviate Windows
2000 Professional as Win2K or Win2000 so that no one has to guess what you
are thinking.
And yes, MDAC 2.8 SP-1 is compatible with Win2K, even if MDAC 2.5 hasn't
been installed, because Win2K includes the necessary components not included
with MDAC 2.8.
HTH.
Gunny
