MDE File

I'm trying to create an MDE file for an Access DB but, when I go to Database
Utilities the option is greyed out/inactive.

Access 2002 and 2003 by default use the 2000 format unless you specify
otherwise. And each version of Access can only create an MDE file in its
own version. You will need to convert this database from the 2000 format
to 2002 or 2003 format before creating an MDE file. On the Tools
menu are the conversion options.
