MDW file problem

I cleared the passowrd of one of my user accounts and now I get the below.

"You do not have the necessary permissions to use the .....mdb... Have your
systems administrator or the person who created the object establish the
appropriate permissions for you."

I don't understand this as I'm the administrator and owner. The enter your
user name and password dialog box never comes up, it simply goes straight to
this message.

I was able to get the application to run on a different computer that does
not have the .mdw file on it. But how can I fix this? Please help.

You say you cleared the password of 'one of my user accounts', but it looks like you actually cleared the password of the 'Admin' account. That's why the login dialog doesn't come up.

Use your shortcut to launch the mdb and dismiss the message about no permissions. You should still have a session of Access open, and this session is using your secure mdw, and you are logged in as 'Admin'. Go to Tools, security, accounts, change password tab, and set a password for the Admin user.

Quit Access, and try your shortcut again. Once you login, return to the account dialog and clear the password for your user - be sure you select the correct user this time.
