I want to insert a slide show into my web site, but when I do and preview it, it is static. Any help would be appreciated

Robin, Here is a post from David Bartosik - MS MVP, that talks about a
video, but the same would/should be the same for a slide show:
"Upload video file to your server.
note the url of it. ( i.e.: www.mysite.com/myvideos/myfile.mpeg)
On the pub page hyperlink a text or graphic link to that url.
Publish the pub file to the server."

Does that mean that I can't test the slide show until I have uploaded it to the server?

Probably. If it doesn't work, then take it down. I unfortunately have had to
do that a lot with my experiments. DavidF
