Meaning? - "MS Jet Db engine not finding object 'MSysDb'"

Trying to open a 3rd party Access Db and get the above message and Db won't
open. Holding down the shift key while opening doesn't work.

Sam,

That usually means corruption, hopefully, you have a recent back-up. Below

if you've got db corruption- and you're tired of dealing with it--
then move to SQL Server.
Listening to MDB script kids-- will not help you-- you'll be stuck
with the same db corruption next month.

Let me guess-- they're going to ask if you've got a new wireless card;
if you've got new users.
If a database isn't reliable enough for real world usage-- then it's
not reliable enough for real world usage.

things nor would I. The FIRST order of business is to try and save his
data! Only, then can anyone deal with the best platform.

You guys always blame it on the network; you blame it on the users..
or the design.

It's none of the three.

If your database is too flaky; then upsize it to SQL Server

If you still cannot repair the database according to post above, you
may try some tools. There is a tool called Advanced Access Repair. I
have used it to repair many corrupt Access MDB files on my damaged
disks successfully. Its homepage is http://www.datanumen.com/aar/ You
can have a try if necessary.
