Microsoft Jet database Engine "MSysDb"

When I click to open existing database, I got this error message and can't
open:
The microsoft Jet Database engine could not find the object "MSysDb". Make
sure the object exists and that you sepells its name and the path name
correctly.

Please help.

Make a backup copy of the .mdb file ... heck, make two copies!

There may be a corruption of the .mdb file that's preventing Access from
seeing the pieces. One thing you could try would be to create a new, empty
MS Access database. Then, from within that (new) db, try importing objects
from the one that is giving you this error. You could trying importing just
one type of object to start with (just tables, say), and see after each
import if you can still open the new one. If they all import and the new
one opens, run the Compact and Repair function also.
