Media Insertion Detection?

Hi All,
Using Pleatform Builder 4.2,
I was wondering if there was an existing mechanism by which an application
can detect (or be informed of) removeable (storage) media insertion/removal,
without having to periodicaly poll the device.
What I'm really looking for is an existing mechanism I can just use and
(hopefully) keep the app as portable as possable, rather than doing things
my own way.
