MS-Access is quite good that way, it gives you a range of pre-defines, or if you don't like any of them you can make your own! Regional Settings (In Windows Control Panel) can also affect it. Chris

D Douglas J. Steele Aug 13, 2004 #3 Actually, I believe the Medium Date format is independent of the Regional Settings. IIRC, Medium Date is unique to Access.
