Meeting attendees not showing up on tracking tab

We have a situation where a meeting request is sent out and as people start
to accept/decline the meeting SOME of the attendees get tracked in the
meeting tracking tab and some don't. All of the meeting acceptance notices
are received in the Meeting organizer's mailbox but not all of them show up
in the meetin tracking itself.

This sound famililiar to any one?

Our people are complaining that they are not getting accurate attendance
counts.....
