meeting nightmare!

A

Annie

We are a peer network of 9 pcs, running Outlook 2002 with
pop3 mail accounts - no Exchange server.

One user set up a meeting request and sent an email to
user2 on the company. Then, user 1 made an upate to the
meeting request to user 2. This meeting request was set up
for March 20, 2004.

To this day, both users receive three emails each
regarding both meeting requests. User 2 receives 3 emails
of the original request and 3 emails of the updated
request. User 1 received 3 each when User 1 deletes the
email requests. This happens EVERY TIME a send/receive
action is completed, which is every 1 minute.

How can I eliminate this problem [without just setting up
a work around like a mail rule to delete the mail]?

Thanks!
