My intention is to set up an e-mail account that processes meeting request
automatically in PC that has running outlook2000. For this purpose I have
created 1 e-mail accounts called "meeting_room_1" and configured appropriate
account in outlook2000. I can send and receive e-mails with this accout.
After that I have verified that this accounts is set up correctly in outlook,
I selected following options from Tools->Options->Calendar options->Resource
Scheduling
- Automatically accept meeting requests and process cancellations
- Automatically decline confilicting meeting requests
My problem is that outlook processes only one ("passive") meeting request
after certain time period. Outlook is not able to process active requests. By
active request I mean such messages that are highlighted (=selected) on
outlook2000 inbox. Is there somewhere an option in outlook (or in windows
registry), that it can process ALL inbox meeting requests simultaneously ? Or
is it possible to decrease this "polling interval" e.g. to 5 seconds so that
meeting organizer get the confirmation of meeting room reservation as soon as
possible ?
Now if there are several meeting request on the queue (=inbox), it takes
long time to get the confirmation of meeting room reservation, because
outlook processes only one meeting request on its time slot. Worst case is
that someone has already booked meeting room and meeting organizer gets the
"declined" response 20 minutes later...
Help is appreciated, BR
