C

I have a number of clients that still use Lotus Notes and they can not read
the body of the meeting request. I can read the ones that they send me, but
theres are just a bunch of code(mess). I am using Outlook 2007 w/BCM.

Thanks!

Send your meeting requests in iCalendar format. I don't know where you'll
find the option in OL 2007, but in OL 2003, it's on Tools>Options>Calendar
Options. The check box is labeled "When sending meeting requests over the
Internet, use iCalendar format".

Thanks - It was checked as you described, I will double check and see if it
works in the morning - maybe my last upgrade to 2007 fixed the issue.

I tried what Brain asked and with the box check or with out it checked I get
the same informations as such.

Any other ideas? Thanks!

Is the address to which you're sending an Internet address or not?

No just a lotus notes user at a fortune 500 company. there email client is
lotus notes 6.5 and the would get the text. I work from home and use outlook
with a yahoo pop mail account to send them email and meeting request. The
client will get the same icalendar text as you say before and their lotus
notes software does not recognize it. Although it should based on my
research.
Thanks

Clearly you misunderstood the question and the correct answer, based on what
you say here, is "yes it's an internet address". In other words, the
address you're using contains "@". It must or you would not be able to send
it through Yahoo.

you say before and their lotus notes software does not recognize it.
Although it should based on my research.

Is this person in your Contacts folder? If so, locate the person's entry
there, open it, and double-click the E-mail address. An "E-mail
Propertiies" dialogue should open. At the bottom will ne a drop-down
labeled "Internet format". Make sure it says "Let Outlook decide the best
sending format."
