I'm unable to create/accept meeting request within outlook. What can I do?

Nothing. You just click the icon and nothing happens.

If you go to the Calendar folder and right click on the calendar can you
create a new item?

I've done that but by selecting the icon nothing happens

OK, so the New button doesn't work but items can be created. Odd...

I seem to be having the same TYPE of problem. I am in XPSP2 Outlook2k3SP1
and when I have calendar open for "today" I double click anywhere and try to
"create a new meeting" and nothing happens. I can do Ctrl-N for a New Mail,
Contact, and Task, but NOT for Calender. Strange. I don't remember changing
anything, that is the MOST honest answer I can give you. Rarely do I change
settings in Outlook.
Selecting File New Appointment is selected from the File Menu in Calender -
Microsoft Outlook but nothing happens. I have closed out of Outlook and
opened it back up thinking maybe there is something with a window open or
Outlook waiting for something else. Nothing.
I also tried File New Meeting Request and nothing.
