memo field weirdness

i have a report that uses a can grow text filed where the data source
is a memo field. in two records the memo is a larger paragraph than
the rest of the records. in those two cases the memo field from the
next record is printed and the rest of next record is skipped
entirely.
anybody know how to fix this.
