memo field

HELP …I hope I can explain this correctly…… I have a table with two memo
fields in it. The problem is every time I update the information in the memo
fields it shows that the information is in but if I closed the database and
reopen it the information is half missing. It seams that Access cuts off the
last few characters or even the last few sentences in some cases. I know that
working with memo fields you take a chance of them getting corrupt but it is
necessary to have the ability to input a lot of information in one cell (for
reporting) Can anyone give me a suggestion on how I can fix this problem or a
work around??? As always any help is greatly appreciated…

I have one that has 1130 characters.

How many characters are in those memo fields? I know that there is some
sort of limit for direct entry, but there are work-a-rounds.

From your entry, I assume that the text is cut off when
you are viewing the table (i.e. datasheet view).

Is this correct, or are you viewing the info in either a
Form or a Report?

Exact same problem that I am having. I didn't realize it until today when
somebody tried entering more info into a memo field. I thought it was the
form that was not set to grow but that was not the case. I went directly into
the table and tried entereing it. It allowed me to enter as much as I wanted
until I hit ENTER then it went back to a partial sentence. Don't know exactly
how many characters but it was only about three lines of text. I have made
many databases with pages of information in a memo field but for some reason
I can't get this to accept more. I am equally confused and will hope that the
weekend will shed some light.
