Memo only allowing 512 characters

I am using an append query to add data from a form to a
table. The table field is set to memo datatype, the query
parameter is set to memo as well. But the data is
truncated in the table if any more than 512 characters are
entered at the form, via the query.

Can anyone offer any assistance??
