Memory could not be read error

When Itry to open an Excel file I get the error message:
"The instructionat '0x3004c29'referenced memory at '0xfffffffc', the memory
could not be read."
It only occurs when the file is in a specific folder on the C Drive. I have
opened the file from the network location. I have deleted the file and copied
the network one to C but it still gives the error.
