memory low error when inserting object

Please help....

I am trying to an embed an excel workbook into a power point presentation
such that I only have to send one file to somebody and they can open the
attachements I have added directly into the slideshow.

My problem is that when I target the object (I want to display as an icon)
and try to insert it I get an out of memory problem.

The confusing thing is that I have no such trouble inserting the same excel
sheet (still displayed as an icon) into MS word (2003).

Any suggestions?
