Merge adjacent columns?

Using Excel 2007, I have three text columns right next to each other.
Can I merge these three columns into one? Thanks.

In D1, copied down: =TRIM(A1&" "&B1&" "&C1)
where cols A to C are the 3 text cols, data in row1 down
