Merge from Excel to labels .. Misses first

I import a label data base using 'print area' as the desired group of labels

It always starts at the second name in the print area

My solution is to start the 'print area' one name before the actual printed label

What is wrong

This is a gigantic PIA!

My guess would be that it's reading the first row as the heading row. Do you
see the data in the first row as mergefield names?
