Merge objects from file

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to merge objects from a slide in
specified ppt/pot file, into the active presentation?
Preferably without overwriting the clipboard, that is ...

I know how to do the whole InsertFromFile thing, so I could do that, and
then copy/paste the content that way. But that is somewhat ugly
(programmatically) as well quite visible to the user.

Suggestions, anyone?
