Merging Into Legal and Letter Documents

I am merging into several legal size and letter size Word documents which
combine into 1 large document. For example sales letter - sales legal size
document - marketing legal size document - marketing letter - human
resources legal size document.

If these documents are merged into one by one, they print on the correct
paper size.

If these documents are merged into 1 big document, they don't switch paper
sizes like they are set up to do.

Any suggestions of how to force Word to hold the paper size?

You need to insert section breaks between the inserts. Each section of a
document can have its own page setup values.

Hi Betty

You need to merge each document into its own section.
This allows you to set different page sizes and layouts
without affecting your entire merge document.

Are you doing your merge using VBA?

Yes . . . it is a VBA application written by another company.

I will try sections and see what happens.
