Merging Project Server 2007 tasks with Sharepoint tasks in 1 list

We've been researching this for a while and can't seem to find any answers.
We have created Activities in Project Web Access with tasks. We've also
created tasks om Sharepoint sites for the same resources and project teams.
We would like to be able to create a web part on a Sharepoint site that
combines the tasks from the Project Web Access Activities with Sharepoint
tasks from multiple sites for a combined list by user and/or project team.
There are Project server web parts, they only show tasks from PWA Activities,
not from Sharepoint.

I'm relatively new to Project Server/ Sharepoitnand hope that someone out
there has done this or can possibly give us a clue on how this could be done.

Thanks.

Jan:

Project Server does not articulate tasks to SharePoint lists. You can use
third-party products to send information from Project to SharePoint lists,
but this is not possible with Project Server, which provides this
functionality through Project Web Access. You can always develop your own
solutions to do what you want, but this is essentially duplicating Project
Server's functionality. If you're going to do this, why use Project Server?

Thanks for the quick reply Gary. (Bought your Implementing and Administering
MS Office Project Server 2007. Very helpful).

This is what I was looking for. A definitive answer regarding whether the
native app could do it or if we needed 3rd party solution.

Thanks again,
