The wife is calling, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to say thanks
too for all you have done for me.

Hi David:

At the end of September this year, I posted a question about IE8 and the
problem with the navbar and other missing content. I did nothing with my
website to see if anyone would notice the problem, but nobody said anything,
so I guess that tells me that the website does not get read much or everyone
is using IE7--not very likely today.

Regardless, I do need to fix the nav bar issue, so I downloaded the SP2 for
Office 2007, but have not uploaded the Pub file to GoDaddy yet.

Also, I rebuilt my PC with a new MB, chip, dual hard drive setup, etc., and
while I saved all my data, I still need to download the latest Filezilla
Client, and then see if the addition of SP 2 did the trick or if I need to
use your suggestions for 'ungrouping' the navbar.

This note goes back almost a year when I was having problems with too many
'htm' files on my hard drive, and you and Spike worked for three weeks to
help me correct a problem that every time I tried to upload the Pub File to
GoDaddy nothing changed.

Can you take a quick look at the website and see if you also see the navbar
problem?

If so, then I will use Filezilla to upload the 'same Pub File' to see if SP2
fixed the navbar problem.

Thanks, Thomboy

Spike, did you see my most recent Boilerplate question? It is about the
"hotfix" download, and if I should install the hotfix before I publish my Pub
File to GoDaddy.

Thanks, Thomboy

It is necessary to update to SP2 before you publish, that way the grouped
items will be ungrouped when the HTML code is created.

Spike, in David's boilerplate reply to the IE8 problem with grouped navbars,
he shows three different items to read and/or to download: 1) The Nav bars
and other content is missing from Publisher HTML outputin IE8, 2) Description
of 2007 MS Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2) and of MS Office Language Pack
2007 SP2, and 3) Description of the Publisher 2007 hotfix package
(Publisher.msp).

QUESTION: Does the #3 item above, the 'hotfix' package,' also need to be
downloaded and installed to make the grouped items ungrouped when the HTML
code is created OR will SP2 ungroup the items?

Thanks, Thomboy

SP2 will ungroup the items
The hot fix had something to so with reading OLD publisher files after SP2
was installed
Not all systems required the hot fix

Sorry to take up your time asking this question, but I just wasn't sure from
reading David's posts about the boilerplate IE8 problem if the "hotfix" was
needed or not.

Thanks, Thomboy
