I have just upgraded from Outlook Express to Outlook. I
have run into a problem when sending emails with
attachments with total size of greater than say 500KB.
When sending these messages in Outlook the message seems
to get stuck in the Outbox. I keep getting error messages
saying that the connection has timed out (0x8004210B)-
yet the actual message seems to be sent as I receive it
in my Inbox (when I send the message to myself!) and it
keeps being received until I delete it from the Outbox.
Each received message is complete yet the "sent" message
remains in the Outbox.
The Outlook connection diagnostic test works fine and I
receive the test message with no problems. Short messages
seem to be sent without any hassle.
The timeout limit in the advanced configuration is set to
maximum.
The problem does not seem to occur with emails where the
pictures / drawings are embedded in the email - only when
the pictures /drawings are included as attachments.
I have a Tend Micro firewall and virus checking however
the Outlook Express worked fine with it (even on big
emails > 2MB) so it can not be anything there?
The issue seems to be that Outlook or something will not
process the attachments.
Any suggestions / ideas would be appreciated.
