Message count for InBox is wrong

The message/item count for the Inbox shows 1 unread
message more then actually in the box. Sometimes it shows
double the number of unread messages actually there. Any
suggestions?

It can be a couple of things, Do you have any blocked senders or rules that
divert the emails to your Junk folder ? Usually that is the reason for the
error or if you have a rule to delete from server, you will of course not
see the message, but it would have been in the total count of messages.
The other reason is, I don't know......I talked to someone on here the day
before yesterday and he had the exact problem as you, but the files were not
going anywhere else. This happens to me once in a while on Outlook 2003 and
Outlook Express.
