Message does not leave outbox

Since I use Office 2003, sometimes a message remains in my outbox unsent. The
message actually remains with NO DATE, while a 'good' message would always be
in the outbox with today's date until it is sent. Nothing works, going to
another folder and clicking again send/receive, opening the message and
re-type the receipient or the message, I've tried everything! The only thing
that (sometimes ) works is to cancel the message and to recreate it again.
This happens also to mails where I had hit the reply button.
Thanks

Tesoro,

If you've verified that the Outlook is online and NOT offline and you still
have the problem....you may want to try the repair installation tool.

To check if your Outlook is online or offline you can go to the drop down
menu of File and see if the work offline button is checked...if it is uncheck
it.

To repair your installation, select the drop down menu of Help and select
detect and repair.

Good luck,
Christa

Thank you Christa,

yes of course I had already checked whether I was online . Now I did the
repair installation and nothing has changed. It seems to happen each time I
click on the outbox before all messages are sent. The messages still in the
outbox at tis point won't get sent, even if I leave outbox and click
send/receive again. This means I can never click the outbox without having
this problem, I can never add to or amend a message and send it again. I have
also tried to disable my Norton Virus check with no success.

Those messages that don't leave your oubox, are they marked 'read' after you
view them? If so, try to mark them 'unread' (with right mousebutton) and then
hit 'send'/receive' again, en look if this works. Otherwise, I wouldn't know
