It seems to me that my Outlook does not detect new mail
until it is forced to hit the server to find something
else. For example, no new email will pop up for 30
minutes, but if I change email messages, which are
displayed in the preview pane, all the emails hit at
once, as soon as the email in the preview pane changes.
The odd thing is that the time that it says it was
delivered is accurate - as opposed to all of the times
being when they were actually delivered to my in-box. So,
throughout the day, I scroll up and down in my in-box to
see if I have any new mail.
