I am running Word 97 on Windows XP.
When I open a word document, the page comes up but a
message window pops up that says something like:
C:\...\desktop\document1.rtf is being used by fred. Do you
want to make a copy?
I am signed on the computer under my own User ID, and the
file I am opening is in my own folder, so I don't know why
these messages pop up every time I try to open my own
documents. The document is not open anywhere else either.
Anyone know how to correct this annoying problem??
