Message still trying to send but its not in Outbox

I use outlook for POP3 access to yahoo mail. I sent a
message with a large attachment which I think was too
large for yahoo. I went into my outbox and opened the
message and hit send again. Now that message does not
show up in my outbox but my the message is still
somewhere trying to be sent because the send/receive
process keeps hanging up everytime. My Mcafee keeps
detecting it as worm activity and when I see the details
mcafee provides it is the message I mentioned above.

Has anyone heard of this and is there a way to make that
message stop sending short of uninstalling and
reinstalling?
