I have recently changed over from Outlook Express to Outlook 2002. I have
selected html for messages. It shows on top of a New Message that it is in
html but when I look in the sent box it has been sent in Plain Text. If I
send it to myself to check what it is doing, it comes in in Plain Text.
In Outlook Express attachments (photos etc) appear in the body of the
message when I send to others and when I receive from others. Outlook has
them only in the Attachment line and I have to click each one to view them.
Is there a reason that Outlook won't let me view them in the body of the
message? Any help will be gratefully received.
Thanks

As you've found, Outlook doesn't show pictures in the body of the mail
message. Outlook Express does. In Outlook, pictures are made
attachments and need to be opened, individually, and separately from
the message.

Please answer the first part of the question, "I set html for messages. It
shows on top of a New Message that it is in html but when I look in the sent
box it has been sent in Plain Text. If I send it to myself to check what it
is doing, it comes in in Plain Text."

Thank you.

Check that your contacts are set up correctly IE, bubble cilck on the
address in your contacts list and set it to let Outlook decide the best
sending format.
