Messages and contacts vanished

I recently used the "detect and repair" function and
after restarting all my emails and contacts are missing,
along with my email account settings. I really need to
get my emails back...how do i go about it?

Do you still have your original PST file on the machine (do a search of the
hard drive including hidden folders). The items should be in there. What
happens now when you start Outlook?

Found the file, how do i extract/gain access to the files?

You can try using the File menu > Import & Export command
