Messages are not received fast enough

My emails do not get sent at the proper speed. Depending on the recipient
they can get it anywhere from 1 minute to a few days later. Additionally, I
dont think I am receiving emails at the proper speed either. No one else at
my office seems to have this problem.
What can I do to fix this issue?

if this is for mail outside of your company, the truth is that e-mail has NO
guaranteed delivery and the standards for delivery explicitly state that it
can takle up to three days for delivery to take place for EACH router
between you and your recipient.

Some of the emails being sent are within my company. Also, it seems that this
is only happening to me. Is there anything I can do to try and make it faster?

What type of account? It seems to me you should be working with your
company's IT department.
