Messages disappearing from Inbox after replying

I am Using Outlook 2000 SP3, suddenly, after I reply to an email, the
original has disappeared from my Inbox Folder.
I can't find it in the deleted Folder or anywhere else.
I did not change any options and it was OK until last night.
I am using Win XP Pro sp2.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
