Messages Dissapear for One Specific Sender

Travis

I am using Outlook 2003 on a XP machine. I have a number
of different folders created (with rules) that allow mail
to be sent to the appropriate folders. All the folders and
mail delivery work fine, with the exception of one
folder/user. I have a folder that the mail from this
particular sender should be directed to, but the mail
doesn't show up there. It doesn't show in the inbox
either. When the user sends me a message, it flashes upon
the screen and then disappears. Any idea what is going on
here? Thanks.

Is it safe to assume you've already deleted and recreated that rule? Do you
have any other rules or a blocked sender entry that may be acting on that
sender?

Thanks for your reply. I have deleted and recreated the
rule. I don't have any other rules or blocked sender
entries that may be acting on the sender. I checked the
server as well. Nothing blocking the sender there either.
No filters are set. Is it possible that the sender has
been blocked using a setting I have not been able to
locate? If this is the case, would I still see the message
flash upon my screen for a second or two when he sends me
mail?

The fact it's getting to your mailbox first means something within the
Outlook client is acting on the message. What happens if you disable all
junk e-mail filtering and all your other rules, and then restart Outlook? Do
this sender's messages still disappear?
