Messages don't show up with send/receive

Hello,

I am working with a customer who has the following
problem. When he does a send/receive, his new messages do
not always show up immediately in his inbox. However, when
he clicks on an old message, the new ones suddenly appear.

FYI, he is using Outlook 2000 with an MS Exchange 2000
server (Small Business Server). We recently switched from
ISP-based mail to internal SMTP using the Exchange server.

Any ideas?
