When I click send after creating a new message. The message goes directly to
the outbox. Then takes me to click on send/recieve to get message to send.
Have two computers that are doing this one on dial-up and the other on a LAN
connection.

Hey,

Tools => Options => Mail Setup => and check the box that says "Send
Immediately when connected"

that should do it,

Thanks for responding Matt, but I already checked this and it is selected. I
also have selected it to do a send/recieve every minute and it isn't doing
that either. Am I going to have to uninstall and then reinstall?

A send/receive interval of one minute is way too short. Don't select
anything less than at least five minutes.

Well tried this and still not working. He is still having to go to
send/recieve button to get it to work.

Well, then, try recreating the send/receive data. Delete or rename the file
whose type is ".srs" located in the (hidden) %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook
folder.

Hey,

Quick question, have you tried just testing your account settings,

goto tools => E-Mail Accounts => make sure to choose "View or change
existing e-mail accounts" click next => double click on your mail account =>
click on Test Account Settings

does this complete succesfully, if not, what's error get's returned???

just a thought,
Matt.

How about your Send/Receive settings? Is the account in the Send/Receive
