messages in inbox dispeared after computer crashed

I really need some help on this.
I was useing outlook express on widow2000.
Because the notebooj battery is bad, when the power was
accidently disconnected, the computer was shut down.
After restart, all my emails for 2004 in Inbox disapeared!
Does anyone know a wayu to restore these emails.
