My son is an avid gamer (Runescape) and I've bought him a headset/microphone
though I can't get the microphone to work. All the solutions I've sourced
aren't for my operating system (XP) with Office 2000.
ie - when I go to Control Panel / Speech there is only text-to-speech. The
speech recognition TAB is missing and when I try to change/programs (as per
some instructions) to get the SR TAB the appropriate commands are missing.
First question - can I even get the microphone to work with XP and 2000 and
secondly, is there a solution or an instruction page you can point me to?
(I'm hoping that this doesn't mean I have to upgrade)
