Microsoft Access can't start because there is no license for it on this machine

I have come across this be fore but cannot recall the solution and am
getting desperate...

Access 97 from Office Pro 97 will not run on WinXP Pro and gives License Not
Found Error.

Office XP removed to no avail etc - can someone direct me to the solution -
something about delete a font and....
