Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse

Matt

My parents just bought a digital camera and i need to free up a USB
port for them. They have 2 both being used by printer and Microsoft
Basic Optical Mouse. I bought the PS/2 adapter and it wont work. I
pluged my sisters mouse into it which is PS/2 and it did work. Why
can't I get the Microsoft mouse to work? The website says it should.

Possible that you need a special USB-PS/2 adapter for your optical mouse.
All the products that I have bought from Microsoft (mouse and keyboard)
already have such an adapter in the box; so I didn't have to bought one.

Also, take a closer look at the front and the back of the computer because
desktop these machines usually have more than 2 USB ports. Otherwise, you
may need to buy a new USB card or a hub with supplemental ports.
