Microsoft calender keeps dropping important items on staff calenda

Our church staff uses Microsoft calendar to keep important dates, i.e.
weddings, baptisms, vacations, etc. and from time to time is drops a
vacation, or wedding.
Are we doing something wrong, are we putting too many things on the calendar?

Is there another program that you can recommend we can use so I won't have
heart failure because a wedding has dissappeared?
