Hi,

how install Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library in a computer what it has
installed Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine?

I don´t want to install MS-Access 2003 only Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library.

I've already tried reinstalled with regsrv32 the DAO360.DLL but it not
install the Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library.

I believe it should already be installed on any machine that has Access 2007
(which presumably is where your Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine
came from). You cannot have a reference set to both libraries, in case
that's what you're trying to do. If you're using the accdb format, you must
use Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine, and if you're using the
mdb form, I believe you must use the Microsoft.DAO 3.6 Object Library.

DAO 3.6 comes with Windows 2000 let alone Windows XP and Vista. So
you shouldn't need to worry about that.

I just double checked on a clean Windows 2000 Virtual PC system which
has never had Office, or anything else other than anti virus installed
on it.

Yes, I have installed access 2007 and I'm using mdb format.

the computer uses DAO360.DLL, but in the registry windows there isn't any
reference to DAO360.

In the computer where it runs fine, in the registry there are
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\DAO.DBEngine.36 and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\DAO.DBEngine.120
but in the computer where it isn't running properly there is only
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\DAO.DBEngine.120

one last thing, sorry.

I don't program in ms-access, I program in Delphi on MDB formats and the app
and libraries require Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library.

That should have been the FIRST THING you mentioned.

You are, therefore, *not* using Access at all.

You're using the Jet database engine.
