microsoft dbase

Question, I downloaded a free contact management dbase from microsoft.com and
was wondering if there was any way to find out after downloading it what size
or how many entries I can put in it. Is there any way (non-manually) I can
check to see if a free anything has its limits?

I would hate to try and data entry 400 contacts and find out the hard way
that it was only intended for 150.

If you are talking about a Microsoft Access database that is provided on the
Microsoft website in the 'templates' section, then there is no limit. It is
a basic design that you can use and modify as much as you'd like. I have
started several of my databases using one of the templates. A year or two
later you'd barely recognize them.

You'll start having problems when your .mdb file (after compacting)
starts pushing 2 billion bytes. 10,000,000 contacts might make it
sweat.
