Microsoft Document Scanning

When saving multi page documents that have been scanned, we lose all pages
except the first page when the scanned pages are saved to a file. This has
destroyed all the document files we thought we were saving in our paper-less
file storage with no means to recapture them.

Did you scan the multipage documents using Microsoft Office
Document Imaging (included with Office XP and Office 2003)? If
yes, then you can use that application to open the files, and you
should be able to see all of the pages. If no, then what
application did you use to scan the documents, and what is the
graphic format (jpg, tif, etc.) of the resulting file? You will
not see more than the first page if you try to insert a scanned
file into Word using the Insert->File or
Insert->Picture->FromFile commands, because an object inserted
into Word cannot span more than one page. You might try using
IrfanView ( http://www.irfanview.com ) to split the multipage
scans into individual pages.
