microsoft draw

whenever I use microsoft draw when trying to insert an
autoshape(connectors or circle,) a box appears in front of
text that says place drawing here. How can I get rid of
this box because on any other computer I have used the box
does not appear.

Hi Dede,

The default appearance of the MS Drawing Canvas
in Word 2002 and Word 2003 is controlled by a
setting in Tools=>Options=>General.
