Microsoft equation needs to support tablet PCs more effectively.

I am a physics student who uses microsoft equation to include formulas in Word.

It would be wonderful to be able to use my Tablet PC, but the fields are
very difficult to manipulate with the pen.

Can someone there make the fields larger? If you could also allow me to
write directly into them, I'll send some of my wife's cookies.

What happens if you change the Zoom ratio before starting the Equation
