Microsoft Excel Startup

I have a very strange and sketchy situation. Everytime I start Microsoft Excel, the document does not open until "Ewpe2" has been opened (it displays in the status bar). This is the second thing that opens before my document. I believe the first is "ewpe" but am unsure

Let me explain, because there was no stop created by this and it occured rather quickly, I was unable to read it. So, as the document opened I used print screen to capture the information. For the second program (Ewpe2) the result was perfect, I was able to paste the screen into paint and view the status

However, for the first, when I paste into paint I get an uppercase sigma (the greek letter) in gray on a pink background. It measures about an inch by an inch (on an 800 X 600 pixel screen). It flashes to fast to be certain however it does look like "ewpe"

I am worried about what this is as none of my other workstations do this and no other Office program on the station does this. Any ideas

Thanks
Mike

Look in the xlstart directory - any files there are loaded on startup.

Also, look in tools=>addins and see if you have any non-standard addins
selected.
