Microsoft Framework Library

Everytime that I open any of the office programs (word, excel, pp,
entourage) I get a note saying: "An unexpected error occurred while
trying to load the Microsoft Framework library." Click Ok and carry on
business as usual. I've re-installed the programs after having cleared
the HD from all office related stuff, but the note still keeps on
coming up.

How to get rid of this, how does it affect working?

Try re-applying all the updates that were previously applied.

I did this and the updates worked.

However, the MS Autoupdate will not update itself. Downloads and never
installs. Any ideas?
