Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem....

HI,

We are getting the following message in some of the systems when we use
Project Web access (2003). All are having IE 6 with all latest updates.

Erro Message with a dialog box asking to Send the report or not: "Microsoft
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience."

Please help us providing the solution to resolve this problem. We tried the
online resolution which is there in Microsoft web site. Still we are facing
this problem.

Are you having problems when you click on another tab (for example
Tasks, Status Reports, etc)?

If so, here is one possibility - you have some spyware on your
computer. I have had this happen to me quite a few times at a client.
Here is basically what I did:
1. Use some software to scan your computer for spyware. You can
download some for free if you don't have any (CounterSpy, Ad-Aware,
etc.).
2. Do a full scan on your computer and remove any spyware that it
recommends to remove.
3. Not sure about this one, but I have had to also do this: Unistall
any 3rd party toolbars such as the Google toolbar.
4. Reboot.

PWA should work fine now. You should also be able to reinstall a 3rd
party toolbar if you need to do so. I run PWA on my computer and have
the Google toolbar so I am not sure why I have needed to do step 3 on
the problem computers, but I did.
